Kai Escobar: Guatemalan Artist

Kai Escobar is a Guatemalan painter and contemporary artist based in Antigua Guatemala. After graduating in graphic design in Guatemala City, he moved to Antigua, away from the noise of the capital, where he is pursuing his dream of becoming a full-time artist.

He began painting in January 2026 after enrolling in art classes. That same year, his first painting was shown in a collective exhibition at Centro Cultural Municipal.

He works mostly in acrylic, often painting Guatemala. He is developing a style where he draws lines over the painting with acrylic marker. For him, the lines represent the human experience.

His work is available as original paintings and limited prints.
